Honghuang: With Memories of the Future, I Teach Nuwa Creates Humans

Niu Kui transmigrates into the primordial world and becomes the first ox born after the world was created. He cultivates for countless yuanhui but can't take human form. Hearing that a mighty being on Buzhou Mountain can divine the secrets of Heaven, he makes a grueling journey to find them, only to come across a girl sculpting figures out of clay. Her creations have three heads and six arms and look like a mishmash of creatures. Niu Kui can't stand it and blurts out, "You can't make people like that."

The girl lights up. "Big black ox, then teach me how to make them." Niu Kui launches into a long explanation, telling her the legend of Nuwa Creates Humans for seven days and seven nights and matching every detail to the Nine Heavens Breathing Soil and the Gourd Vine. The girl follows his instructions and sculpts the first human. After she injects it with her blood essence, the clay figure opens its eyes and calls her "Mother." Niu Kui is completely dumbfounded. Are you really Empress Nuwa? Merit for creating humanity descends, Nuwa becomes a Sage, and Niu Kui receives half a percent of the merit, finally reaching the threshold of taking human form. Fuxi tries to divine his fate but sees only a blur, so Niu Kui makes up a story about a mysterious voice in his head to explain everything.

Three hundred years later, Xuandu makes a Heavenly Dao oath to protect humanity. Niu Kui uses a Taiji Eight Trigrams pattern to forge a false River of Time, showing Xuandu a vision of himself betraying humanity in the future Investiture of the Gods War. Xuandu immediately comprehends the Dao and breaks through to the peak of the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm.
