The Anime Tokusatsu Scientist: I Build My Own Rider to Protect Tokyo

After transmigrating to an alternate Tokyo, Dongye Gai inherits the memories of a tokusatsu scientist. Monsters roam the streets, Sugar People prey on humans, and giant beasts could crush entire neighborhoods at any moment. He turns himself into an enhanced human and buries himself in technology at an underground base. Chocolate Pudding is safely stored away, the Kamen Rider Valen form is unlocked, and a blast from the Destruction Cannon blows a Sugar Person to pieces.

At a street corner, he saves the blonde high school girl Wangzhong Zhenwei. When the girl wakes and sees him for the first time, her face flushes and her heart races. Passing through Shimokitazawa, he casually rescues Yukino Yuki, a half-snow woman exorcist high school girl, from a monster. She wraps her arms around his waist on the back of his motorcycle and whispers, "You smell... like Zhenwei." Dongye Gai doesn't look back. "You're mistaken. Hold tight."

Xiangzi squats at the base entrance clutching a cake pudding and refuses to leave. Qianshu blocks the lab entrance with the handmade Valentine's chocolate she made for him. Qinsashayue stares at the neighbor's window every night until dawn. Dongye Gai finishes typing the last line of code and looks up to find a Blizzard Popsicle Pudding hopping onto the desk, tilting its head and chirping the electronic sound "Sorbei."

Tokyo doesn't need a god. Having him as its scientist is enough.
