Great Qin: I Asked You to Farm, So Why Did You Build an Industrial Empire?

Around 35 years into Emperor Qin Shi Huang's reign, the Great Qin had unified the realm, but troubles were brewing within: the Xiongnu threatened from the north, the Baiyue in the south remained unconquered, forced labor weighed heavily on the people, and the former subjects of the Six Kingdoms stirred in secret. At court, Legalist rule was harsh, while alchemists ran rampant in their pursuit of immortality. In the mountains of Lili, outside Xianyang, modern young man Shen Yanzhou transmigrated with supplies, books, and a small amount of equipment. While clearing land to farm, he encountered the First Emperor, Ying Heng, traveling incognito, along with Left Chancellor Han Ju and General Meng Lie. Their differing perspectives on the era led to one misunderstanding after another. The First Emperor gradually realized that Shen Yanzhou came from two thousand years in the future, and learned from him of the crises ahead: the Great Qin would fall after just two generations, alchemists would mislead the state, and Hu Hai would plunge the government into chaos. To reverse the dynasty's fate, the First Emperor secretly backed Shen Yanzhou in establishing the Lili Workshop. Starting with concrete roads, iron tools, increased crop yields, paper, and printing, they set about building a modern industrial Great Qin, one step at a time.
