The Other Person Inside My Body

After a strange illness six years ago, I began hearing another person's voice inside me. He knew things from my past that I shouldn't have known, remembered a childhood that wasn't mine, and little by little turned me into someone even I no longer recognized. I always thought that voice was an intruder in my body, trying to steal my life. It wasn't until my mother died and I followed the keepsakes she left behind to an abandoned hospital that I discovered what was truly frightening: the person living in this body now might not be the original me at all.
