Awaken the Literary Vein System, Hunted by the Imperial Observatory from the Start

Shen Yanzhi, a talented scholar from the previous dynasty, fell on hard times and became a menial servant of the Qingping Sword Sect, enduring mockery and abuse. As he recited a poem lamenting the fallen state of his country, the Ancient Literary Heritage System awakened with a roar! Reciting poetry drew in spiritual energy, practicing calligraphy led to insights into martial arts, and points could be exchanged for the souls of heaven-and-earth poems and peerless martial arts.

The ten-year deadline was approaching. A heart demon born of the troubled times threatened to wipe out the literary heritage of the Nine Provinces and return the land to a primitive state. To protect all living beings, he had to gather the souls of thirty-six poems of heaven and earth.

But danger was already closing in! The Eroded Text Pavilion, under Yuwen Tuo of the Imperial Observatory, cultivated evil arts by devouring literary heritage and pursued him relentlessly. Ling Juexiao, a prodigy of the Heavenly Sword Sect, saw him as a rival and plotted against him at every turn.

Though the System offered shortcuts to quick power, such as demonic poetry and devouring literary energy, they would twist his true nature. Tempted by a desperate bid to survive on one side, and driven by his resolve to defend the righteous path on the other, Shen Yanzhi had no choice.

The countdown continued, while waves of poetic resonance wreaked havoc across the land. With poetry as his blade, he ranged through the martial world and imperial court, frontier passes and secret realms, turning the tables and serving up one face-slapping comeback after another. He swore to gather the poetic souls and defy fate to protect the civilization of the Nine Provinces!
