Others transmigrated with a golden finger from the start. When Chen Ping'an transmigrated, all he got was an empty apocalyptic space: a thousand mu of land and not a single grain of rice.

To make matters worse, he arrived in 1960, during a famine. Everyone thought he was easy to bully and started coming to him with their hands out. Qin Huairu blocked his door and wept, the First Uncle applied pressure at a neighborhood meeting, Silly Zhu rolled up his sleeves and got physical, and Xu Damao secretly reported him.

They had no idea who Chen Ping'an really was. He was a ruthless survivor who had lasted ten years in the apocalypse, through mountains of corpses and seas of blood.
