In the Name of the People: Guard Jingzhou? I'll Stir Up Trouble in Jinghai!

A gunshot rings out on Lone Eagle Ridge. When Qi Tongwei opens his eyes again, it's 1999. He's been kneeling on the sports field for three years, married to Liang Lu for three years, and is already chief of the Political Security Section at the Jingzhou Public Security Bureau. He hasn't forgotten a single one of the grudges and hatreds from his previous life.

Chen Yanshi is the first to come knocking, putting on the airs of a deputy prosecutor as he demands someone be handed over. Qi Tongwei slaps him across the face. “Deputy Prosecutor Chen, address me by my title from now on. This is the Public Security Bureau, not your backyard.” Liang Qunfeng wants to protect him by giving him a disciplinary punishment, but Qi refuses outright. “Dad, transfer me to Jinghai. I'll start as a beat cop.”

The Liang family thinks this is another act of self-sacrifice. No one knows Qi Tongwei volunteered to go to Jinghai, that city of sin where Gao Qiqiang has just risen to power. He intends to settle the blood debt from Lone Eagle Ridge and repay the debts from his past life. He's already lost interest in the stagnant waters of Jingzhou. Starting as an ordinary officer in the criminal investigation squad of the Jinghai Public Security Bureau, he'll tear a hole in the heavens, one cut at a time.

Liang Lu is still waiting for his act of self-sacrifice to end, while Gao Qiqiang is hosting a lavish banquet at Platinum Palace. But Qi Tongwei has already found the first lead in Jinghai's underworld.
