My Sky Screen Connects Past and Present

Since ancient times, heroes have been as plentiful as fish crossing a river. Over China's five thousand years, generation after generation of remarkable people have emerged: the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu of Han, Emperor Taizong of Tang and the Hongwu Emperor of Ming. In war, Han Xin, Bai Qi, Wei Qing, Huo Qubing, Sun Wu, Li Jing, and Yue Fei all displayed the might of great generals. In letters, the Duke of Zhou, who served under kings of both the Western and Eastern Zhou, and the eternal sage Zhuge Liang stand alongside Fan Zhongyan, who worried before the world and rejoiced after it, and Zhang Juzheng, who sent a lone man into a sky full of snow, each embodying the bearing of a civil official. Li Bai and Du Fu, Cao Zhi and Wang Bo, Su Shi and Xin Qiji were all richly gifted.
