Hong Kong Films: Climbing to the Top Through Public Welfare Rebates, Starting as a Councilor

After transmigrating into a Hong Kong action-movie world, Han Li becomes a foot soldier in the Hung Hing triad.

Han Li glances at the calendar. The return of Hong Kong is just around the corner.

Joining a gang and fighting all the time will land him in prison sooner or later. It's a dead end.

Fortunately, he unlocks the Livelihood Rebate System.

All he has to do is earn Livelihood Points, and the System will give him double the value back.

What a deal!

While other gangs are still fighting bloody battles over a single street, Han Li has already put on a suit and joined the Legislative Council.

Taking advantage of the System's reverse rewards, he does whatever doesn't make money.

He starts a food delivery business, helping all the Hung Hing foot soldiers go legit and earn a hundred thousand a month.

He uses the System to rake in cash while frantically generating Livelihood Points, climbing higher by stepping on his own shoulders.

Then he moves into public hospitals, charity schools, low-rent housing, and other lifelines of Hong Kong...

Han Li says, "You think I'm on the first level, but I'm actually on the tenth."

Years later, Chiang Tin Sang watches Han Li running for governor of Hong Kong on TV and drops his cigarette in shock.

"I told you to go legit. How did you become the top man in Hong Kong?"
