Hong Kong Films: Righteous to the Core, I Run Off with a Councilman's Wife from the Start

After transmigrating to the Hong Kong action-film world, Han Li became a low-level member of the Hung Hing gang.

Han Li glanced at the calendar. Hong Kong's return to China was just around the corner.

A life of gang activity and fighting would eventually land him in prison. It had no future.

Fortunately, he unlocked the Livelihood Cashback System.

As long as he earned Livelihood Points, he would get double the amount back.

Could things really work out that well?

While the other gangs were still fighting tooth and nail over a single street,

Han Li had already put on a suit and joined the Legislative Council.

Using the System's reverse rewards, he did whatever wouldn't make money.

He started a food delivery service, turning all the Hung Hing underlings legit and giving them monthly incomes of a hundred thousand.

He used the System to rake in money while frantically boosting people's livelihoods, stepping on his own left foot with his right.

As he later moved into public hospitals, charity schools, subsidized housing, and other lifelines of Hong Kong...

Han Li: "You think I'm only on the first level, but really, I'm on the tenth."

Years later, Chiang Tien-sheng watched Han Li campaigning for governor of Hong Kong on TV and dropped his cigarette in shock:

"I told you to go legit, so how did you become the top dog in Hong Kong?"
