Siheyuan: The Carefree Life of a Fun-Loving Bystander

A funny courtyard drama, set in a peaceful era without all the angst. The clever protagonist loves a good laugh and does things the sly, underhanded way.

Wang Dapeng transmigrates into Birds Fill the Courtyard, a place packed with villains. As he spars with the residents, he realizes his reputation is taking a hit.

His guiding principle is that if he can't adapt to his surroundings, he'll make them adapt to him. If he gets rained on, his rivals shouldn't be allowed to have umbrellas either. So Wang Dapeng decides they should all end up with bad reputations.

And so the courtyard begins its evolution: the Courtyard of Stolen Fiancées, the Courtyard of Cripples, the Cult Courtyard, the Scamming-the-Injured Courtyard, and finally, the Law-Abiding Courtyard.

Basically, the protagonist makes a mess of things, ruining his reputation and making himself unable to find a wife. To keep from standing out, he ruins everyone else's reputation too, so that nobody in the courtyard can find a wife.

Then, quietly and without telling the other residents, he gets married and enjoys a cozy life with his wife and children.

There may be one or two female leads. His golden finger is a jade carving ornament from a cultivator's home. It can grow crops, and he also has several bionic puppets in various forms.
