I Lent Him Money to Save His Life, but He Took Me for a Fool

I gave him my whole heart and treated him like a brother. When my father was seriously ill and waiting for surgery, I couldn't bring myself to say no and lent him the money he needed to get by.

I thought he would return my sincerity, but I never imagined he'd take the money, turn on me, block me,

and vanish without a trace.

Only later did I see the truth. He hadn't run into any trouble at all. He'd simply taken me for an easy mark, a fool he could manipulate at will. He took my hard-earned money to feast and splurge, all while mocking me behind my back for being stupid and easy to bully.
