Genshin Impact: I Steal Rex Lapis's Retirement Fund from the Start

After transmigrating to Teyvat, Gu Sanqiu started out by getting a grand mansion for free in Liyue Harbor, and even landed a position as an incense bearer.

While everyone else worked themselves to the bone to earn Mora, all he wanted was to lie flat and slack off.

Then one day, he tucked a golden fishing rod under his arm and secretly cast his "Treasure-Fishing Black Hole" at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor consultant Zhongli's account.

He successfully snatched the prize! Reward: One Rex Lapis retirement fund.

Zhongli's hand paused slightly as he held his teacup.

Hu Tao's eyes lit up. "Sanqiu! The Wangsheng Funeral Parlor needs talent like you!"

From then on, the vibe in Liyue Harbor went completely off the rails...

By day, he pushed a cart to the orphanage to cook noodles. By night, he vaulted across rooftops to beat up Treasure Hoarders, helped the Qixing catch a few moles, then went to Wuwang Hill to help Hu Tao chop up a few monsters that had turned into zombies.

When Ningguang sent someone to invite "Lord Gu Xiang" to tea at the Jade Chamber, Gu Sanqiu was squatting by the dock, fishing. Without even turning around, he said:

"No time. I'm busy intercepting the next retirement fund payment."
