In the Name of the People: Director Qi Is Reborn and Puts Hou Liangping on Trial from the Start

A gunshot rang out on Guying Ridge.

Qi Tongwei, head of the Handong Provincial Public Security Department, was ruled to have died by suicide out of guilt. Hou Liangping stepped over his corpse and brought the case to a perfect close.

But one second before the bullet pierced his skull, Qi Tongwei was reborn!

He returned to seven days before the deadly trap and bound himself to the Case-Reversal System.

As long as he exposed the truth and lured his enemies into breaking the rules, he could obtain the locations of crucial evidence.

This time, he would not run, kneel, or put a bullet in his own head!

Hou Liangping thought he was lashing out in desperation and continued to pressure him with arrests.

He had no idea that every unauthorized order, private interrogation, and attempt to influence a witness was being fully recorded by equipment Qi Tongwei had installed in advance.

Hou Liangping investigated his finances? He submitted his legitimate transaction records to the inspection team in advance.

Hou Liangping pressured a witness to change their story? He brought in a notary office and lawyers to witness the whole process.

Seven days later, the operation on Guying Ridge went ahead as planned, but the prey on the mountain was no longer Qi Tongwei.

When Hou Liangping raised the arrest warrant, Qi Tongwei started a livestream across the internet and slammed all the irrefutable evidence of illegal conduct onto the table.

"Hou Liangping, you weren't investigating a case. You were setting a trap. Today, whoever broke the rules is the one who steps down!"
