Yongan Alley Residents' Rules

A gloomy haze hangs over this place. The streets are strangely deserted, and the people walking through the alleys are numb and lifeless. Weeds overrun the old courtyards, and an unshakable chill and stillness pervade every corner. On the day he moves in, he finds a yellowed, icy mimeographed sheet inside the house, printed with eight bloodcurdling rules for living in Yong'an Alley.

Close the courtyard at the hour of the Rooster, and bolt the doors at the hour of the Dog. Do not look at the little girl in blue. Do not answer questions from old acquaintances. Do not peek into the locked second floor. If your shadow disappears, you must offer yellow paper...

At first, he thinks these are ridiculous rules meant to scare people. But when strange noises fill the night and a child's sinister laughter rings in his ears,

twisted streets, eerie residents, midnight taboos, unknown beings lurking in the shadows: every rule is both a restraint and the only path to survival.

Break a rule, and the consequences are impossible to escape.

Follow the rules, and you sink deeper with every step.

Trapped in this eerie old alley, isolated from the outside world, Lin Ye must follow every taboo to the letter. Amid an oppressive fog of Chinese-style horror, he struggles to survive, investigate Yong'an Alley's buried, blood-soaked past, and uncover the ultimate secret behind the rules.

Under these rules, everything is dangerous, and no one can escape unscathed.
