The Strange Path Begins with Infinite Revivals

Falling into an endless realm of the uncanny, death is never the end, only the opening chapter of a cycle of rebirth.

Everyone believes resurrection is a gift and being reborn means having room for mistakes.

Only Yang Jinqing knows the truth: every resurrection lets the world steal his memories and devour his humanity.

The day his memories are gone, he'll become a creature of darkness for good.

Endless night falls over the Blackwood Forest. A campfire is the only refuge, and darkness an inescapable cage.

Only when he faces the shadow deep in the forest does he glimpse his most despairing fate:

The twisted monsters lurking in the dark, hunting those who struggle to survive,

are all their future selves, mutated and utterly lost.

Every moment you fight desperately to survive

only delays your inevitable descent into darkness.

Yang Jinqing bears a fate of utmost yang and the character "Jin" in his name. Born profoundly yin and evil, he was also born destined to journey into darkness.

As his companions mutate one by one and his future self comes at him with a blade,

he can only tear his fate to shreds against the heavens through endless cycles:

Either live as a human, or become the source of all uncanny creatures.
