Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Codex

Hogwarts welcomes its strangest new students a year after the war: Chinese siblings Chen Xi and Chen Xingyu. They arrive with the blank diaries their parents left behind, only to discover that they can see dark red inscriptions shifting across the castle walls.

This year's students are even harder to handle than the Weasley Twins! Professor McGonagall can only sigh as she surveys the castle the siblings have put through the wringer:

Chen Xi uses Defense Against the Dark Arts to drive Peeves away, only for Peeves to hail him as the godfather of pranks. Chen Xingyu and the House-elves create chili-flavored Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans that become a schoolwide sensation. Even stranger, the two keep finding secret chambers in the oddest places, from a basilisk's shed skin beneath a Great Hall table to a mysterious golden egg in the Owlery.

When the siblings decipher the hidden ink in their parents' diary, they discover that a Book of Confessions, sealed by the Four Founders, lies dormant beneath Hogwarts. Just then, Ministry of Magic officials arrive and demand that the castle be turned into a modern center for magical education. As night falls, ancient stone gargoyles awakened by the war begin to whisper: Children, would you like to play a real game of escape from the secret chamber?
