Apocalypse: Infinite Plunder, Starting with Card Dismantling

The Black Tide devours the world, mechs become scrap, and humanity clings to life with implanted chips.

Yena Ling, 22, former mechanic, employee ID B-7-044. Three days ago, he was dismantling mechs. Now he's dismantling mechs...

Pulling out their core cards one by one and slotting them into the port in the back of his neck.

Other people pilot mechs. I dismantle them. Then I install the parts in myself.

His deck has no strategy. It's all stolen:

White Lightning Armor,

taken from a second lieutenant in the Imperial Army;

Corrosion Protocol,

cut from the belly of an Erosion Broodmother;

Black Tide-Ω,

a keepsake left behind by a girl's father. Of his seven card slots, six hold spoils of war. The last one

is eating him.

Thirty days remain on the countdown.

What will he become when the Ω fusion reaches 100%? A weapon, or a monster?

The Imperial Army wants to retrieve him, the black market has put a bounty on him, and the Pure Ones want to poison him. Only a girl named Hoshino Rin hands him a rusty key:

The brake for Ω, and his lifeline.

The Card Tyrant begins his dismantling.
