Bitter Toon

This novel is an innovation in writing style, the first to use a format that simulates interaction with readers.

The protagonist's family works hard to get by, but the crushing weight of financial hardship gives rise to all kinds of stories. Many ordinary working people may have had similar experiences, so these are the stories of people around us, the everyday affairs of family life. The protagonist has no lofty ideals. He simply spends his days working nonstop to put food on the table for his family.

In truth, most families live just like this. The author chose to write this novel because the children in their own family are under great pressure to study. The character Paopao is an exact reflection of a child in the author's life. That was what inspired this story.

This book is dedicated to all the children still working hard at their studies, especially middle and high school students facing entrance exams during the most difficult years of their lives. It is also dedicated to parents with school-aged children. Let's encourage one another. Life isn't easy, but being alive is a beautiful thing, and it is full of hope!

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual people or events is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
