The Buddha's Eye Descends from Heaven

A deliveryman from a small county town, who failed the college entrance exam and struggles to get by at the bottom of city life, gains unusual eyes in an accident and enters the fantastical world of antiques. Starting out as an untrained amateur whom everyone looks down on, he repeatedly finds hidden treasures with his special eyes. As he appraises antiques, builds businesses, and outwits his rivals, he amasses astonishing wealth and connections. He not only turns his own life around, but also, through a twist of fate, becomes an unofficial force in the nation's efforts to recover cultural relics overseas. In foreign lands, he lives through one thrilling treasure-hunting adventure after another, ultimately becoming a legendary collector.
