Reborn as the Persian Lion

Three thousand years ago, Cyrus the Great set out from this plateau and founded the first empire in human history to span three continents.

Three thousand years later, sanctions tightened around this country like a noose, assassinations severed its limbs, and airstrikes shattered its backbone.

Lin Yuan, a Chinese doctoral student whose research on Iran's strategy had failed, died suddenly at his desk after typing the final word of his thesis.

When he opened his eyes again, he had become Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Iran's Supreme Leader, the man known as the power behind the robes.

The date was January 2024.

Three months until the bombing of the consulate in Damascus.

Seven months until Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran.

Nine months until Nasrallah was killed in an airstrike.

Seventeen months until the Twelve-Day War destroyed Iran's nuclear facilities.

Twenty-five months until a joint US-Israeli airstrike killed his father.

The title of his thesis was: The Fall of the Persian Empire: A Study of Iran's Strategic Failures, 2024-2030.

Now he would rewrite every conclusion in that thesis with his own hands.
