I Slack Off as a Detective in Great Song

It was the third month of spring, and a fine-clothed young man drank himself to death at Fan Tower in Bianjing. When he opened his eyes again, he saw carved beams, embroidered doors, a brocade quilt scented with incense, and three or four maids gathered around him, calling him "Second Master." Li Rui, a forty-two-year-old criminal investigator, stared at the handsome young face in the bronze mirror. Countless memories had inexplicably appeared in his mind: Su Rui, the second son of the Su family, nineteen years old, who had spent his life doing little but drinking, composing poetry, and visiting the pleasure quarters. Li Rui sat stunned for a long while, then suddenly slapped his thigh and laughed. "After spending half my life buried in case files, I finally get a chance like this! 'If the spring breeze has a tender heart for flowers, could it let me be young once more?' From now on, I'll live as a wealthy idler in the Great Song!"
