Ultraman: My Mad Scientist Helps Zero Take Off

Novas is the most inconspicuous blue-skinned scholar in the archives of the Land of Light, with a physical fitness rating that has hovered just above the passing mark for years. As the Space Garrison cheers for the promising new star Zero, Novas merely pushes up his glasses and quietly opens his own arsenal.

And so, Zero's training sessions become increasingly outrageous:

During sparring, Novas pulls out a miniature black hole generator, claiming it's to "simulate adversity."

When chasing space pirates, the ship Novas kindly lends him has a main cannon powered by the principles of a contraction furnace.

Even when Zero is locked in a grueling battle against Belial's army, the "support equipment" Novas airdrops remotely is a dimensional stabilizing anchor capable of rewriting the local laws of physics.

Zero drags his exhausted body along and watches the scientist casually dismantle the Ultimate Battle Nizer for parts. He finally breaks down: "You call this 'scientific support'?!"

Commander Hikari stares at Novas's feasibility report on weaponizing the energy of the Spark Tower, his hands trembling. "Novas... our Land of Light actually advocates peaceful research and development."
