Pegasus 3: King of the Track

"Zhang Chi, you're really going to race me in that thing?"

The window of the silver BMW M4 rolled down, revealing Li Rui's face, tinted green by the neon signs.

He rapped his fingers against the door. The carbon-fiber parts gave a hollow, crisp clack. "Do you know how much I've put into this car? Three hundred grand! Enough to buy ten of your crappy Geelys!"

Zhang Chi said nothing.

The car really was a wreck: the front bumper was cracked, and the right front fender had been repainted, with an obvious mismatch in color.

But only someone who got down to inspect the undercarriage would notice that the coilovers were Ohlins racing models. The brake calipers had been painted an inconspicuous gray, but underneath were Brembo GT6s.

"Three laps decides the winner. Same rules as always." Zhang Chi opened the door. "If you lose, give me the data for that track in Bayinbuluke."
