Synopsis:

It begins in Year 24 of Dayun, in a world divided among humans, demons, devils, and gods.

This should be a story about the Chosen Son and Daughter of Heaven. The male supporting character is adapted from the author himself, a one-to-one copy of the author. His fate is to die a miserable death.

Fate brings people together, then parts them. All is but illusion, so there is no need to dwell on it. Meeting is a matter of fate; some people go their whole lives without meeting. Whether this is a doomed bond or not, I'll bear it! I hate that the bright moon does not shine on me. Yet I cherish the moon, afraid she might be hurt.

In the end, the male supporting character sacrifices all his spirit roots, his dantian, and all his years of life to save the female lead. His meridians burst, and he dies. But because fate has decreed it, the female lead ends up with the male lead, the Chosen Son of Heaven. The male supporting character is the only one who dies in the entire story.
