The story takes place in the second decade of the twenty-first century. After graduating from the Interstellar Academy, Ais was accidentally admitted to the First Fleet of the Galaxy. He drove a spacecraft named "Buoyancy" to a habitable planet named "Earth" to perform a detection mission. When his spacecraft re-entered the atmosphere, it was suddenly hit by several satellites that struck at high speed. The huge impact tore off the heat shield of the spacecraft, forcing him to make an emergency landing in a forest on the earth.
