Special Forces Duo: Fighting the War of Resistance in Drawing Sword

Li Hao and Li Long, the “Twin Stars” of the Southeast Military Region Special Operations Brigade, have swept every evaluation in their five years of service. They rank first in the brigade at grappling, hand-to-hand combat, and precision shooting. During a raid on an arms dealer, the brothers are struck by a strange bolt of purple lightning. When they open their eyes, they have fallen into a battlefield of the War of Resistance Against Japan.

As Japanese bayonets close in on the Eighth Route Army, Li Hao puts a bullet through an enemy’s head with his silenced gun. When the Japanese charge into the trenches, Li Long breaks their necks with a few punches and kicks. Their special forces skills astonish the soldiers of the Independent Regiment. Then they meet Battalion Commander Zhang Dabiao, followed by Li Yunlong, who rides up and points a Mauser pistol at them, demanding, “Are you Japanese spies?”

From then on, the Twin Stars put down roots in the Independent Regiment. They use the “three-three system” to ambush the enemy and seize supplies, teach the soldiers close-quarters combat to counter bayonet charges, and draw on their military engineering knowledge to build homemade bombs and blow up blockhouses. But their modern magazines run low, their communication devices become scrap metal, and guns and ammunition are scarce in this era of resistance. Can they keep being the “Japanese Devils’ Bane”? And in the flames of war in 1940, can they find a way home?

When modern special forces blades collide with Li Yunlong’s iron-blooded army, they have no planes or tanks, but they can still take on the invaders with fists and wits, and write their own legend of resistance!
