The Rusted Path to Heaven

The heavens have fallen, and the earth weeps blood.

Spiritual roots are no gift from heaven, but shackles. The immortal path is no easy road, but a cage.

The spiritual energy is filthy as rust, corroding sinew and bone. The sects loom like mountains, crushing souls and dictating fate.

Some willingly become beasts of burden, bowing their heads for scraps. Others are reduced to fuel, burning themselves to light the path to immortality.

Yet in the deepest reaches of the black abyss, chains tremble. Atop the highest cliff, cracks spread.

A speck of dust, unwilling to submit, opened its eyes in the boundless night.
