Great Ming: I Win a Founding Duke from the Start, and My Rise Begins

The Duke of the State's daughter has a plan to escape her arranged marriage! With her father gravely ill, Xu Miaojin is pressured by her family to marry a prince. She pretends to have lost her memory and flees to a small town.

The arrival of Zhu Ying gives her hope, and the two secretly pledge themselves to each other.

When the Xu family finds her, she throws herself into Zhu Ying's arms in front of everyone and cries, "I will marry no one but him."

Amid the argument, Zhu Ying produces a jade pendant. It turns out to be the token Xu Da gave years ago to the man who saved his life. It seems the two families were connected long ago!

It turns out Zhu Ying is descended from a founding general, and that he went into hiding in the town after his grandfather was convicted of a crime.

After learning the truth, Zhu Yuanzhang summons him to the palace, appoints him the new Duke of the State, and grants him permission to marry Xu Miaojin. On the wedding day, Zhu Ying returns to the tavern and replaces its "Wine" sign with one reading "Duke's Residence"!
