The Memory Repairer

In 2045, memory digitization technology triggers a global "memory disorder." Some people suffer scrambled memories or implanted false ones, while others become trapped in painful loops. The government establishes the Memory Restoration Bureau and recruits gifted individuals to enter instances made from patients' memory fragments and uncover the truth.

Lin Che, a former neuroscientist, joins the bureau after his younger sister "commits suicide" while trapped in a memory loop. He can enter memories and sense the emotions within them, but must endure the resulting feedback. He also has selective amnesia and has forgotten key details about his sister's death.

As he solves memory mysteries involving workplace bullying and school violence, Lin Che discovers that most cases of memory disorder are man-made. The organization known as "Lighthouse" is colluding with senior officials at the Restoration Bureau, seeking to manipulate memories to cover up a conspiracy and establish "memory colonialism." After he and his partner Jiang Yi are hunted down, they fight back. Lin Che then uncovers his past as a Lighthouse researcher and learns that his memories were altered. He also discovers that his sister faked her death to hide evidence.

At last, with a bomb countdown ticking, Lin Che cracks the code and stops the memory virus, protecting the truth of people's memories. Combining mind-bending mysteries with real-world issues, the story explores memory, truth, and redemption through one twist after another.
