Three Kingdoms: My Ancestor Is Cao Cao

Cao Rong is a young man born in the 1980s, from a small village in Youyang, where Hunan, Guizhou, and Sichuan meet. According to family lore, when the Sima clan seized power and purged the Cao family, his branch escaped by fleeing far from Luoyang and taking refuge here. For generations, his family has passed down the claim that they are descendants of Cao Cao.

As the eldest son, Cao Rong followed family tradition and underwent a rite of inheritance at the age of sixteen. A whole chicken, a pig's head, three sticks of incense, and a bowl of water were placed on the altar. As instructed, he used a bronze sword from the Three Kingdoms era, passed down through his family, to cut his palm and drip his blood onto the blade.

Suddenly, the blade glimmered, and a streak of red light passed over it. At the same time, a flood of information poured into Cao Rong's mind. He couldn't make sense of it yet, but he could clearly feel something awakening within him. This sword and this ritual seemed far more than they appeared.

The tale that Cao Cao had once met a descendant of Zhang Liang in his youth and learned the art of reading qi to locate dragon veins had long since become a joke by Cao Rong's generation. Now, all that remained of the family lore was this ancient sword, which had just displayed a strange phenomenon.
