The Blade Rekindled: A Special Forces Mission Across Time and Space

Lu Chen, the special forces commander codenamed "Blade," is swept into the battlefield of the An Lushan Rebellion in 757 AD by an electromagnetic storm during a counterterrorism operation in the Kunlun Mountains. The rifle in his hands becomes a ring-pommeled saber, but the spirit of a modern soldier remains. He rallies the scattered troops with tactical hand signals, uses reverse-slope fortifications to hold off the rebels' fierce assault, and turns the tide at Suiyang with behind-enemy-lines raids.

With a damaged "spatiotemporal locator," he searches for a balance between cold weapons and firearms, reshapes ancient battle formations with small-unit tactics, and uses drones in place of scouts, all while holding fast to the bottom line of civilization. When the final battle erupts at the temporal rift, Lu Chen leads comrades from different eras, pitting ancient tactics against future weapons. Where the blade burns anew lies the mission and glory of Chinese soldiers, spanning a thousand years.
