The Goddess of the Luo River
A Spectacular Figure on the Luo: The Three Realms' Calamity
After Pangu died creating the world, his left eye became the sun and his right eye the moon. His vital energy gave rise to the Three Pure Ones: the Celestial Worthy of the Origin, the Celestial Worthy of the Numinous Treasure, and the Celestial Worthy of the Way and Its Virtue. His turbid energy formed the Demon Ancestor, the Heart-Rending Mad Demon; his bone spurs gave birth to the Demon Ancestor, the Spirit Celestial Demon; and his shadow became the Ghost Ancestor, the Nine Nether Sacred Sect. By the banks of the Luo River, Fuxi's daughter, Mi Fei, the Goddess of the Luo, was born with the river's spiritual essence. She held the Luo River Divine Pendant, which sustained the spiritual veins connecting the Three Realms.
A thousand years later, the pendant is suddenly stolen, the Luo River runs dry, and the spiritual veins of the Three Realms fall into disarray. The Jade Emperor, chief of the Four Heavenly Sovereigns, orders Yang Jian and Nezha to investigate. At the scene, however, they discover the demon clan's Soul-Eroding Seal. The Demon Ancestor, the Heart-Rending Mad Demon, orders his son, the Blood Sword Demon, to gather an army of asuras and seize the pendant to restart Chaos. The Demon Ancestor, the Spirit Celestial Demon, sends Lord Cangwu to persuade the Goddess of the Luo, promising to help her find the pendant in exchange for the Luo River's spiritual source.
The Goddess of the Luo leads ten immortals from the Luo River on the investigation: the male immortals River Earl, Marquis Tushan, Lord Xuanbing, Moyuan, and Canglan; and the female immortals Lady Xiang, Luo Wei, Shui Linglong, Lingxi, and Suyin. Along the way, they receive help from Luo Pin, Hou Yi's former wife, but are also ambushed by the Ghost Ancestor's disciple, Piaomiao Wuying.
