Fireworks Burn

Everyone in Shengjing knows that Lady Lin Jingzhe of the Marquis of Yongning is the "Female Rakshasa" who once disemboweled an enemy in the middle of the street. Everyone fears her. Only I, A Yuan, a lowly concubine, know the softness beneath her hard armor. With my vine-like dependence and warmth, I became the only light in her dark marriage.

However, the Marquis could not tolerate me, a soft thorn in his side. A small sedan chair carried me off to the violent Third Prince's residence, where I was tortured to death.

My death shattered the last of Lin Jingzhe's reason. She slaughtered everyone at the Marquis's manor and the Prince's residence, becoming a true Rakshasa and swearing to turn the imperial city upside down for my sake.

It was only when she found a girl bearing a mysterious birthmark shaped like a "Red Lotus" that she learned the truth: the girl was my long-lost twin sister. Our origins led to deeply buried palace secrets and an enormous conspiracy...
