Sorin: The Lonely Mountain and the Throne in Another World

He transmigrates as Thorin Oakenshield, burdened by a destiny of ruin and dragon-sickness? No!

Awakening a mind barrier, I am immune to all forms of seduction. To my eyes, the Arkenstone is nothing more than a brilliant rock.

While Smaug basks in his gold, I unravel the ultimate secret of heat: absolute zero. I stand before the Gate of Doom, needing neither arrows nor blades. With a mere lift of my hand, freezing magic roars forth. The flames die out completely before they can reach me. Moisture in the air turns into billions of ice crystals, and time seems to freeze in that moment. Smaug's arrogance is frozen in its final breath, its immense body sealed from the inside out in a block of eternal ice, preserved in the terror of its last moment alive.

The Lonely Mountain is just the beginning. The forests of the Elves and the plains of Gondor will all bow beneath the Dwarves' battle flag.

And I, Emperor Thorin, have already turned my gaze to the stars. Middle-earth will be the first royal court on my expedition across the myriad heavens!
