Turmoil on the Southern Plateau

This book tells the story of the Cao family, who live in Nanyuan, focusing on the lives of ordinary people and the many hardships and helpless predicaments they face. During the Republican era, when bandits ran rampant, Cao Houren was born into an ordinary family in Nanyuan. His father was already 45, making him a late-in-life child. As head of the Cao clan, Cao Liming spared no expense in celebrating the boy's arrival.
