Ghost Chess: My Ghost Brides Are Scattered Across the Heavens

Hey, everyone, someone asked me: How did Nie Xiaoqian, the top female ghost of Lanruo Temple, end up willingly moving into a shabby little pagoda?

You just haven't met that man named Dongfang Ye.

When he first arrived, he was just a ghost child Granny had casually conjured up, as weak as a candle in the wind. Then, without batting an eye, he used three sentences to completely bamboozle the scholar who'd come to his death. Yes, Ning Caichen. He packed up and fled Lanruo Temple that very night. That's when I realized this little ghost wasn't right.

He dared to tell Granny to her face that her tree roots "would fetch a good price as wood carvings." He even tried to become sworn brothers with Yan Chixia, that stinking Taoist priest, and start an "Association for the Peaceful Coexistence and Development of the Human, Ghost, and Divine Realms."

Only later did I learn that his world was a terrifying game of chess. He brought back Chu Renmei, who sang Cantonese opera, fished Sadako out of a TV, and even brought in Tomie, who couldn't be killed or shaken off. They all became my sisters, too.

What can I say? This man may be crazy, but... he's got a certain appeal!

So don't ask. The pagoda has great reception and lots of sisters! My husband is taking us to challenge the gods and Buddhas of all the heavens!
