The serial murderer I was tracking turned out to be a hacker in a wheelchair. He hacked into each victim's computer and left a provocative code: "You're next." When I finally kicked open his door, he smiled and called up the surveillance camera: "See clearly, I was in the hospital when they died." The screen flickered, and the file on my wrongful conviction that was covered up seven years ago appeared. "Officer Gu," he traced his fingertips across the armrests of the wheelchair, "you caught the wrong person, but you still haven't changed it." This novel and its characters are purely fictitious.
