The Ming Dynasty: the Power and the Country

The Ming Dynasty was the last unified Central Plains dynasty established by the Han people in Chinese history. It went through sixteen emperors and lasted for 276 years. This is an era with a complete political system but fierce party disputes, and an era of prosperous culture but hidden crises. From Zhu Yuanzhang's Hongwu rule, to Zhu Di's Yongle era, to the turmoil in the later years, the history of the Ming Dynasty is full of power struggles, heroic legends, and the rise and fall of the country. The protagonist Lin Yu was originally a scholar in a small town in the south of the Yangtze River. By chance, he rescued Zhu Di's cronies who were being hunted, and thus entered Zhu Di's field of vision. Zhu Di appreciated his talent, brought him into the capital, and got involved in the center of the power whirlpool. Lin Yu witnessed the corruption in the officialdom and the suffering of the people, and was determined to change. During this period, he met Xu Miaojin, and the two had a secret love. Xu Miaojin is extremely intelligent and often provides Lin Yu with unique insights to help him clarify his thinking in complex situations. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious.
