The Great Zhou's Literary Sage: I Steady the Nation's Fate with Poetry

Modern-day overworked office drone Su Bai transmigrates to a Confucian world. Destitute from the start, he has no choice but to "borrow" a poem, Bring in the Wine, during the Tongsheng exam to make ends meet.

"Have you not seen the waters of the Yellow River descending from Heaven..."

The poem is finished, its literary energy surges into the sky, and astonishing phenomena shake the heavens. The examiner's literary courage is shattered on the spot!

Su Bai: "Oh no, I overdid it. I only wanted to earn a little stipend. Now I can't even keep a low profile."

From then on, all he wants is to write novels and earn a little in royalties, but he accidentally ushers in an age of mythology for all by writing Journey to the West. He only wants to write an essay on statecraft to get his taxes waived, but his On the Six States ends a century of border troubles.

The Great Zhou Emperor: "Mister Su is my adoptive father, and the nation's literary destiny rests on his shoulders!"

The great Confucian scholars of the various schools: "We are willing to honor Master Su as our teacher and usher in a new school of learning for all ages!"

Lying back in a rocking chair with his royalty statement in hand, Su Bai looks utterly innocent. "I really never wanted to become a Literary Sage. Could you all stop reading so much into it?"
