Pokemon: Team Rocket Is Invincible, Even Though Giovanni Has Given Up!

I wake up as Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket! Looking at the mess in front of me, I immediately choose to give up!

Everyone else's slacking is an act. I'm the only one who's serious about it!

Look at the other villainous colleagues: the guy who controlled Mewtwo ended up with mental decline; the guy who woke Groudon and Kyogre is a regular in the ICU; the one who created a new universe became Giratina's punching bag.

Then look at the Champions: aren't they all working themselves to the bone, with their hairlines in danger, and at risk of getting toppled by a ten-year-old kid? Isn't it obvious who I should learn from?!

And so Team Rocket's style takes a sharp turn:

Conquer the world, capture Legendary Pokemon, build a dark empire? "Too much work. I can't be bothered! Let whoever wants to do it handle it!"

The executives are fighting among themselves, with Athena and Apollo competing for favor? "What's that got to do with me? As long as the profits cover Persian's cat food, that's enough. Let them compete!"

Develop an Ultimate Poke Ball? "I'd rather spend that time with my Persian!"

What? If the boss gets too carried away, a ten-year-old kid might take him out? "Exactly! I just want to live a peaceful life with Persian. I don't want to be a background character!"

I'm seriously slacking off, but the executives are reading all kinds of things into it: "The boss is testing us! The boss is making a grand plan!"
