The Ancient Tomb of Dan Zhu

Lu Jiqing, a high-IQ prisoner who possesses a rare formula for alchemical pills used to oppose Qin, is secretly escorted by the military to the archaeological site of the Cinnabar Project. Caught in a deadly sandstorm, he and the archaeological team accidentally fall into an underground maze built by royal clans during the Warring States period: the Cinnabar Mausoleum. Modeled on the Classic of Mountains and Seas, the tomb seals away the "Cinnabar Blood Curse," which can distort time and space. When the modern archaeological team encounters the remains of the "Red Axe Army," a royal clan of tomb raiders from two thousand years ago, in an underground river, a deadly race against time begins. Under the twin pressures of ancient tomb mechanisms and the Blood Curse's corruption, Lu Jiqing must join forces with a blind archaeology professor, a mechanical prodigy, and a former special forces guide to uncover the Cinnabar Mausoleum's ultimate secret, the "Eight Meridians Returning to the Source." What the tomb raiders don't know is that they have long been pawns in a scheme plotted for a thousand years by the resentful spirits of the imperial harem…
