The Dream of Red Mansions Anime: I'm the Brother of the Windflower Fairy

I was promised a transmigration into Dream of the Red Chamber, so why am I in the world of the Fenghua Fairy's side story?

As a Dream of the Red Chamber fan, Zhao Fan understands when the System tells him he's transmigrating into Dream of the Red Chamber.

As someone who believes in progress, he understands that, since so many people transmigrate these days!

He understands that there are immortals in this world, too. After all, this was never an ordinary world to begin with.

But then he discovers that...

The ancient and modern worlds intertwine, as do the human and immortal realms. His younger brother Zhao Yu holds the Wondrous Jade, while their cousin Yang, who has come to stay with them, secretly spends every day plotting revenge.

It turns out... this is the world of the Dream of the Red Chamber anime, The Legend of the Fenghua Fairy. He's completely baffled and can't make sense of it.

All he can do is take up the sword in his hand and cut through his confusion. After one sword practice, he gains his first wisp of sword energy, enough to cut a flower. After ten practices, he gains his tenth wisp, enough to cut down an enemy. After hundreds of billions of practices, he can cut down an immortal!!!
