Home with Kids: My Desk Mate Is Xiaoxue

Your childhood and mine were pretty much the same, weren't they?

After transmigrating into the world of TV dramas, his classmate turns out to be Xia Xue from "Home with Kids"?

"Lin Ze, you need to hand in yesterday's Chinese test."

"I didn't do it. Can I copy yours?"

"You can copy the multiple-choice answers, but how are you going to copy the essay?"

"I'll write the essay myself."

Prompted by Xia Xue, Lin Ze picks up his pen and writes, "What Gives Us the Right to Feel Pride in Our Nation?"

"Besides us, no country in the world still uses pictographic writing as its standard script. No indigenous people can match Black people in a hundred-meter sprint and White people in academic papers. And no country has ever been surrounded by a seventeen-nation coalition and still kept its sovereignty intact."

He only meant to get the teacher off his back, but unexpectedly, the teacher picked him to enter the national essay contest.

And so his career as a literary plagiarist spiraled completely out of control.

"If there is no torch from now on, then I will be the only light." He said this at the May Fourth Youth Day celebration.

"Since we've chosen the road ahead, we must press on through wind and rain." He encouraged everyone at the college entrance exam rally.
