I'm a Forensic Doctor, and I Support a Two-Day Weekend

On a stormy night, workers repairing the city's drainage system discover a dismembered woman's right arm in a sewer and immediately call the police.

Liu Yuxin, captain of the city criminal investigation team, arrives with her squad and frowns at the appalling weather and the decomposing evidence.

At three in the morning, Wang Gang, director of the forensic center, is jolted awake by a phone call. He braves the rain to reach the scene and conduct a preliminary examination.

Using his professional expertise, Wang Gang determines the time of death, the possible type of murder weapon, and basic information about the victim, catching Liu Yuxin's attention.

Though their first collaboration is marked by professional friction, the two appreciate each other. Liu Yuxin's cousin, Liu Yishou, makes his first appearance as a trainee detective.
