Mysteries and Shadows of the Mirrorverse

In ancient times, when King Zhou ruled, the world should have been orderly under his reign. But Daji's arrival was like a boulder thrown into a still lake, stirring up enormous waves. Daji's clan, the nine-tailed foxes, was charged by Nuwa with carrying out the Investiture of the Gods plan. Yet their actions also threw the world into chaos, causing King Zhou to lose his chance to be invested as a god. Jiang Ziya, a wise man bearing Heaven's mandate, was entrusted by his master with the task of carrying out the investiture in the Investiture of the Gods. But by using feng shui to change fate and save lives, he altered the positions many people were meant to receive. By a twist of fate, Ji Fa's divine position changed. This affected not only the fate of Ji Fa's descendants, but also cost Jiang Ziya the chance to invest the gods as he was meant to. Instead, he had to shoulder the duty of guarding the Investiture of the Gods for all eternity.

Jiang Ziya's actions were like toppling the first domino, setting off a chain reaction. The world's feng shui was thrown into disarray, droughts and floods ravaged the land, and the people suffered terribly. It seemed that once Jiang Ziya sealed the Investiture of the Gods, the calamities would gradually subside and the world would return to the peace of old. However, years later, something happened to Daji's clan among the demon race.
