The Warrior Queen in the Imperial Court

The heroine, Zhu, was born to a farming family. Though blessed with a beautiful face, she refused to accept an ordinary fate. Using her exceptional cunning, she carefully maneuvered through the treacherous palace. By chance, she encountered the hero, Gu, a formidable general. At the time, he was badly wounded and had collapsed beside the road Zhu often traveled. Zhu risked her life to save him, and the two were bound together from then on. Thereafter, the palace was rocked by upheaval, and the struggle for power raged like a storm. Zhu and Gu stood together, supporting each other. At a lavish palace celebration with red carpets covering the floor, everyone waited to see Zhu make a fool of herself. But she seized her chance, and with her own wit and Gu's secret assistance, turned the tables. In the end, she reached the pinnacle of power and found lasting love with Gu.
