Tom Sawyer and Huck Bailey were tired of school life and planned a "treasure adventure". Tom forged a treasure map and made a golden chest filled with shabby items such as wooden swords, beads, and glass beads, disguised as treasure. Taking advantage of the chaos, they brought the box to school and pretended to have discovered a huge treasure, causing a sensation in the class. Teacher Dobbins and his classmates were attracted by the "treasure" and rushed out of the classroom to find the "real treasure" on the second treasure map given by Tom. However, when they found the second treasure box, they found that there was only a book on medicine by Mr. Dobbins, which was in tatters. Mr. Dobbins was very angry when he saw that his beloved book was destroyed, and the classmates were angry and funny. Tom and Huck hid in the classroom and snickered, but Betsy's scolding made Tom realize that his behavior may have hurt others.
