The True Elemental Scripture: The Scientific Monk's Unstoppable Journey to the West

Modern chemist Tang Xuan opens his eyes and finds himself in the world of Journey to the West, now a pilgrim on the scripture-fetching mission.

Faced with the schemes of gods and Buddhas across the heavens, he whips out the periodic table instead:

Dry ice creates Buddha-like radiance, leaving Emperor Tang stunned; nitrogen freezing techniques beat the stuffing out of the little white dragon; magnesium flash bombs blind the Heavenly Court's surveillance!

Science breaks every spell on the journey:

X-ray scans expose the White Bone Spirit's three-life acting skills, quantum computers crack the wordless scriptures,

An artificial sun melts the Flaming Mountains, and an antimatter cage subdues the Azure Bull Demon!

Sun Wukong holds up a test tube and shouts, "Master, this golden elixir's radiation levels are off the charts!"

Tathagata studies the mass-energy equation, lost in thought. "Why is Buddhism not following the script?"

As scientific logic crushes the laws of myth,

Tang Sanzang holds a molecular cutting device and sneers, "Physical salvation is the ultimate compassion."

Use the periodic table to smash through all eighty-one trials!
