Opening an Academy in Dafeng: Teaching Science from the Start

The good news: Ye Heng survived a car accident and transmigrated to Dafeng.

The bad news: after discussing poetry with Confucian scholars and studying Confucian cultivation techniques, he was expelled from the Astronomical Bureau.

Now, the bureau's mystics and the people of Yunlu Academy all have it in for him.

But should he be afraid?

He's a university professor, for crying out loud!

He'll show those mystics what math, physics, and chemistry can do.

And he'll teach those great Confucian scholars a thing or two about Tang poetry and Song lyrics!

The entire Astronomical Bureau, Imperial College, and academy are soon in an uproar.

After the Astronomical Bureau kicks Ye Heng out, he turns around and opens an academy of his own. He teaches nothing but math, physics, chemistry, Tang poetry, and Song lyrics.

At first, nobody knows what any of that means. But once they ask around, all the mystics are stunned.

Hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, boron? Carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluorine, neon? Sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus?

What in the world is all that supposed to be?

The great Confucian scholars at the academy are stunned, too.

Astronomical Bureau, why did you have to provoke him? Wasn't one Imperial College enough trouble for you? Now you've got another one?!
